Notes on who I am
December 24, 2025
A reflection on identity, music, culture, and what drives me as a person and a computer science student.
I’m a Computer Science student who spends a lot of time building systems, but who I am outside of code matters just as much. This post is a small snapshot of my identity — the influences, interests, and values that shape how I think and how I work.
Music is a constant in my life. I’m almost always listening to something while studying or building — artists like Chase Atlantic, B Ray, and Stray Kids. I’m drawn to music that feels emotionally layered and intentional. I think that preference shows up in my work: I value structure, but I also care about expression and depth.
Family and culture shaped my sense of discipline and responsibility. Growing up in a close-knit environment taught me independence, resilience, and quiet persistence. Those traits translate directly into how I approach technical problems — steady iteration over shortcuts.
As a student, I gravitate toward understanding systems end-to-end. Whether it’s a ranking engine, a machine learning pipeline, or an optimization algorithm, I want to know how each piece interacts. I’m less interested in surface-level results and more interested in structural clarity.
This post isn’t meant to define everything about me. It’s context. The rest of this site shows the execution.
